CD readable on WindowsXP only!!!

I bought a CD workshop that works OK with my old Windows XP PC. However this same CD cannot be opened in my Laptop with VISTA and another Laptop with Windows 7.

How can I make my new laptops able to open this CD workshop? Is there a method or procedure or a device that can make this CD readable in VISTA or Windows 7?

Help much appreciated.

"cannot be opened" - or is it just not opening automatically?

I doubt that the CD is unreadable - probably it just needs to started manually, or it maybe needs program to open it which you don't have in Vista or Win7 for some reason.

Can you look at the files on it in Explorer, and find an appropriate .exe file, or .bat file?

If all else fails can you list for us what files are on it in the root folder please.

You say "I bought a CD workshop" - I presume you mean you bought a Workshop program on a CD. Can you tell us the name of the program please?

Have you looked for a support forum on the program suppliers website?
