CD drive change

  R.C.M. 14:59 07 May 2006

Today when I opened up my ClipArt CD [original]each icon now has either three blue SSS's or three blue 555's on each one [not sure]. I've had the original CD for a good number of years now, and used it quite frequently and it has never done this before.

Does anyone understand my problem and will be able to advice me please.

Many thanks.

Have you installed a new graphics editor?

Try runnings system file checker:

scannow sfc - how to use SFC.EXE (system file checker)

Hi Diodorus Siculus

No I've not installed any new graphics editors, at the moment I'm running scannow sfc - I think that's where the problem is as it required me to load XP home CD and it's taking a while to go through the process.

Many thanks.

Hi Diodorus Siculus

The sfc.exe is now finished - and I'm afraid the problem is still there.

I've just had a thought, in my original post I forgot to say that the three blue SSS's/555's are not on the clipart when you use the pictures, there are only present on the folders and the view icons - therefore it's not a big issue, more annoying than anything else.

Not so sure what's happening... sorry.
