case fans,how to fit?

am i correct in thinking that a case fan takes the air out of the pc box,so it blows out not blowing in to cool the cpu down, thanks

best to have a fan at the bottom front of the case sucking cool air in and one at the back and to the top sucking hot air out creating a flow over the motherboard.

type fan placement or case cooling into google for lots of info.

Depends where the fans are located - you'd want a fan situated at the front of the case to suck cool air in to flow through and over and a rear mounted fan to blow the warm air out.
