Carrier for hard drive return

Hi all
I need to return a hard drive to Seagate and wanted to ask if anyone can suggest a carrier that I can track parcel (this is a requirement of Seagate) and also can you suggest a site that will show me how to uninstall the drive from my PC (Im A novice)

How you remove the drive depends on the type of machine and drive.

Laptop or desktop? make and model?
Sata drive or IDE? sata if machine only a couple of years old.

It is a Maxtor STM 3320820A its in a desktop PC but I dont know the make as I bought it from Ebay abt 5 years ago (this is the replacement hardrive still under garantee)

Maxtor STM 3320820A Diamond could be SATA or ULtra ATA

in a 5 year old PC could b either.

Large flat ribbon cable + power D molex = PATA
thin flat cable + poewr molex = sata

Got drive out it was Pata sent by royal mail cost £9.60.
