Can't upgrade BIOS

My BIOS shows my second 250gb HDD as only 57gb. I've decided to try to update the BIOS but when I go to esupport.com to run a scan, it requires an activex d/l. When the d/l starts, the screen goes blank and the computer restarts. I've gone thru the security settings which all are set to prompt. What's going on?
Thx

Do you know the make and model of your motherboard? You have to pay around $30 to get a BIOS update from that site. You should be able to get one free from the mobo manufacturer.

Also you may find a disk tool from the disk manufacturer that will solve your problem.
