Can't send jpegs even though compressed

  Markis589 18:04 08 Jun 2009

I have been compressing photos into winrar as my orange account will not allow attatchment bigger than 2mb.I have tried to send it after compressing but it reads the winrar compressed file as 3.9mb and won't send it.What am is wrong, and is there a better program specifically for sending big photo files.TIA.

I think you will find that Jpegs are already compressed. If you lower the quality level you should be able to make them smaller at the expense of quality.

Alternatively you could use another email service such as Yahoo, which lets you send attachments up to 10 Meg in size. Other email services such as GMail possible allow large attachments.
