Can,t send email

  WallyD 19:26 12 Oct 2003

I,ve done a search so I don,t get remarks about asking old questions. A elderly and fairly new computer user has a new Pc with Xp and she caught the blaster virus.I don,t know the full details but her machine is working on all progs and she is using email with MSN but when on NTL she can recive emails but if she tries to send the internet cuts off. She mentioned using instruction she,d worked from microsoft to put the file wab32.dll in her sytem (or replace same)
I would be gratefull for any advice.

Are her SMTP setting correct for that account?

week with my customers computers running both Win98Se & WinXP Home. I wouldn't believe this, is some sort of a new virus hanging around but the following is some thing you can check.

Open "Outlook Express" while off-line and go into the Tools tab (At the Top) then select "Options" then select the "Connections" tab.

You will find two lines in the top of this box, the second box will say "Hang up after sending & receiving" !

If there is a Tick in this box, untick then select Apply and ok to accept the change.

Please post back if this doesn't work.
