Can't open downloaded PDF files by clicking on

  TheGnome 19:48 19 Feb 2007

When I download PDF files and click on them, I get a message telling me that the file is not a Win 32 Application. I can open them OK by opening Acrobat reader (I have V.5) and then navigating to the file I wish to open, but it's just a tad tedious. Can anyone help, please?

Sounds like you need to reinstall Acrobat reader. I'd give that a go first.

Try Foxit if the problem persists. click here

I suggest you remove Acrobat Reader and Download and run FOXIT reader it's miles better an a lot smaller on the Hard Drive. Download button in the first text box at the top.

Not sure which OS you have but Adobe is up to version 8 now. that said I have got rid of Adobe in view of it's size and I now us Foxit Reader which does the job.

The latest version of A. Reader is V8, so yours is a bit behind.
