Can't open Adobe Reader files

  ivesy 19:00 13 Feb 2007

Hi, when I try to open an Adobe PDF file on my parents PC I get the following:

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an add on and needs to close"

Then "the following was running when this problem occurred"

Add on name AcroPDF.dll
Co Name Adobe Systems
Description Adobe PDF browser control

Has anyone any ideas how I can stop this happening?

Try reinstalling Acrobat Reader; if you don't have the latest version, many are available at click here

A smaller, though just as good PDF reader is Foxit. I dumped Adobe Reader some while ago and have used Foxit ever since without problem.

Try a download at click here
