Can't move toolbars in IE6

  John B 16:29 04 Nov 2003

I've downloaded the google toolbar and want to move its position, but the menu items under view-toolbars are greyed out and the said toolbar is locked into its existing position. Any advice greatfully received. (running xp pro by the way)

Is the option to "lock toolbars" (or something along those lines) there? If so, try unchecking it.

Thanks for the reply, but there is no option to unlock toolbars (if it does exist I don't know where to find it!)

View - Toolbars - untick the "Locked....."

right click on the toolbar and untick "lock the toolbar" same as DieSse, just a different way.

there is no 'locked' entry on the view-toolbars menu. I think I'll leave the Google bar where it is! Thanks again
