Since Wednesday I have been trying to install windows updates, but they fail every time I try. I've only had a problem once before, but this is starting to get annoying. Anyone have any ideas?I have windows xp. Thanks.
go to controlpanel>administrative tools>services find cryptographic services double click on it, from the list of start up types choose "automatic" click ok restart and all should be wellmadboy33
fraid that maid no difference, but thanks anyway.Maybe should have added, they download ok, but they fail to install.
cdb - MS Knowledgebase articles 312955 and 319109 are two closest matches I could find for your problem. When you say they fail to install, do you get an error message?
I tried the advice in bvw's link. ie deleting (renamed for now) the catroot2 folder. It seems to have done the trick, they installed, albeit abit slower than normal. Thanks guys.
