Can't Install Microsoft Office!

Had a problem on Microsoft Office and decided to re-install from the CD.
Went into Add/Remove programmes, but got the message as below.
Also, when I tried to install from the CD drive I get the same following message c:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose 'Close ' to terminate the application.
Anybody any ideas how to rectify this?
Thanking you in advance
