Can't get laptop to wirelessly connect at home

  stugra 11:53 11 Oct 2009

I cannot get my laptop to find my home wireless network??

The wifi is turned on on the laptop (it finds other networks).
I have disabled the firewall and MAC address function on the router.
I can connect to the router with another PC, my phone, iPod etc...

Can anyone please help me with why my laptop cannot see my wifi network and therefore will not connect.

Your help is appreciated.

Have you got your networks SSID hidden maybe?

The router is not a draftN with the b & g switched off is it and the laptop only g?

  stugra 12:01 11 Oct 2009

Sadly no, SSID is set to broadcast.

Wireless mode is set to b, g and n.

Does that help?

Have you tried removing the profile for your home connection from the laptop , then rescanning ?

On my router there is a button you have to press in order to get it to connect there might be on on yours. This MIGHT work but if youre not getting a signal at all then im not sure.
