Can't delete

  compy 09:20 03 Jul 2004

win xp. ie6.
Norton identified 3 adware files. winnet.exe, comwiz.exe, and Dd2214.exe. I told it to delete them. It didn't, and now I am being constantly asked to let winnet connect to the internet.

I have tried to delete them manualy, but am not allowed. Any sugestions on how to get rid of them?

Thanks in advance for any help.

when norton failes to delete them it should give you a screen in which you can go to nortons web site to get spicific information on the threat in question, and instructions on how to remove it.

if i remember correct, (and can't check, as have no 'failed to delete' threats on system at moment) the screen you get at the end of the scan/removal has a link on it for each threat. click on the 'more information' col.

Have you looked to see if they are in start using "msconfig", if they are untick them, reboot in safe mode and try again.
