Canon ink cartridges

Hi Folks can anyone tell me where I can get Canon Ink Cartridges that I do not have to take out a mortgage to pay for them? I have a Canon Pixma iP4300 and I last bought them from and they cost £5.80 for each of the CLI 8 and £6.94 for the PGI 5 - but that was a year ago! I've just had a look at their site and they now want £9.79 and £11.95. I always used to get the Jet Tec compatible but I've had my fingers burnt one too many times with using compatibles and ending up with a ruined printer but if this is the current price then I think I will chance my luck again.

I'm afraid your choices are limited. Buy Canon originals at top prices, or cheaper compatibles and risk a higher incidence of dodgy ones.

The best you can do is shop around for the cheapest originals. But I'm afraid you'll still need to be on good terms with your building society!

Hi tardis100 - I have a canon iP4500 which uses the same cartridges as your ip4300. They charge £9.99 for the basic colours 8 and £10.99 for the Black double cartridge 5-BGBK. These are original Canon cartridges - not compatible ones and they are posted from Jersey postage free. Hope this helps. Brambles

Thanks for the replies had a bit of difficulty finding my way around your site jon2 - but brambles site showed that they were a little cheaper than my original site - and no postage! so that's the cheapest I've found yet. (I also think that mail from the Channel Islands) so big thanks for replying.

Thanks Slightlymad - I've had a look at Amazon and the cartridges I'm looking for are CLI-8 bk,cyan, magenta, yellow. and one black-PGI-5 they seem similar in price to brambles site but I'll keep checking. Thanks
