Canon BJC 3000 Printer

Hi, My BJC 3000 has just started going into what appears to be a 'fault' mode when I switch it on, the little orange light on the top flashes instead of a continuous green one, I press the manual paper feed button and away it goes. The green light illuminates, and then the orange one flashes 8 times and the sequence starts again, could this orange light be giving me some sort of fault code? I'm running W98se and the printer is running via USB.

Have you got the user guide for the BJC3000?
Details of the beep codes should be in there.

On the BJC8200, 8 beeps signifies that the waste ink tank is nearly full.

10 beeps means it is full and printing will stop; time to call in Canon, unless you want to try it yourself.

Hope this helps, Toxin

hi prima
i have a bjc 3000 and when the orange light flickers it is definately a fault condition.
no paper, a paper jam, a software problem or
other somthing else.
try disconnecting and reconnecting from the usb
and rebooting.
I have found that this sometimes solves the problem

According to click here it is as "toxin" says - the waste tank is full.

Thanks guys, I tried all the resets on the sites you suggested but to no avail, looks like I've now got to buy another printer, I just spent £90.00 on a new scanner. Can anybody recommend a printer with individual ink tanks suitable for general printing and for photos.
