Cannot find sound card driver for S3/Savage4

  Williton Specialist 21:52 20 Jan 2005

I've not been able to find a download for my sound card, the little lable on it says it's a
S3/Savage4 W32 MG AGP.

If there's anyone that can help me, please do.

I'm wondering if I'll have buy a different sound card.

I'm pretty much certain that the S3 Savage4 AGP is a graphics card.

I think you're looking at the wrong thing a S3 Savage 4 as far as I know is a graphics card. Perhaps you have onboard sound?

  ACOLYTE 22:01 20 Jan 2005

Perhaps its because its not a sound card its a graffix card, click here might help.

Thanks folks.
I'll take the side off the tower and have another look tomorrow.
I remember when I had it built that it was not an onboard sound card but obviously today I was looking at the wrong one.

The S3/savage card is a graphics card as it is the one my machine at work uses (nice name)

click here download and run this it will tell you what your components are and it will point you to the relevent area's of the component manufacturer's site for driver updates. (still a cool name)

Thanks 'Strawballs', as you can see I've changed my log on name to my real surname rather than the 'nickname' I've carried since 1978. Haycox = Strawballs? get it? Sorry to muscle in the way I did.
Anyway I've messed up big time and could still do with some help.

I've got a Netgear FA310TX sound card.

According to this PC, there's no device installed.

I've no idea what to do next, can anyone please advise?

I'm going to close this as resolved and open another for assistance with Netgear Sound Card.
