Cannot find a monitor compatible VESA adapter

I recently bought a 32 inch PC monitor with 200mm x 100mm VESA mounting points. The VESA mount I have is 75-100mm, so at the same time I bought a VESA adapter for converting from 75-100mm to 200mm vertically and horizontally, but the holes and supplied bolts on the adapter plate are too large to screw in to the monitor (seemingly designed for TVs) and the screws supplied with the VESA arm are too narrow to secure the monitor to the plate (the circumference of the screw head is smaller than the circumference of the hole). Can anyone recommend an adapter that is designed for use with monitors?

Use flat washers to prevent the screw head going through the hole.
