Cannot Delete ActiveX

  PO79 17:30 25 Aug 2008

I am on Win XP Pro. I have two ActiveX components I wish to delete. I have tried Tools\Manage Add Ons\Enable and Disable but no matter what I try, the delete button stays dimmed out.

Where are these items stored on the PC so I can trck them down and delete them please.

When you get to Tools > Manage Add-Ons > Enable or Disable are you going to "Show Dowloaded ActiveX Controls" before trying to delete? Sometimes works better that way.

Yep, I have tried all possible combinations from the drop down, still the option to delete stays dimmed out.

Try searching for them by (exact) name Start > Search etc and you should find them. Double clicking on the result should delete them.

Try 'search' all files and folders, search hidden files and folders. search system folders and search subfolders.
