morning all, just a quicky, my friend has given me a spare stick of 256mb ddr ram that he doesnt use brand new. Can i use it in my comp, as my ram is pc133 sd ram,

would it work? i have a spare slot.

will only fit if your mobo suports both ddr and sd ram.

the slots are differant sizes.

not sure but if mobo has dual slots, you can only run one type at a time.

Looking at nov/dec pc tips n tricks pages 31-41 you can mix values of ram but NOT standards ie DDR & SDram, sooooooo, ddr and sdram a big no no.
