Can I make my usb printer wireless?

  aphrodite42 16:20 30 Jan 2020

I have a HP Photosmart D5400 USB printer and it would be really helpful if I could add an adapter to make it wireless. There seem to be a lot of adapters on the market of various prices but I have no idea what sort I need. Has anybody any experience with this who could advise me?

You cannot use a wireless adaptor in a printer, however you can connect the printer to a USb port on your router then wireless print to it via the network.

What router do you have?

I have a Talktalk Fibre Wi-Fi hub which doesn't have a USB port. Don't think it is worth the cost of getting a print server. Thanks anyway.

You could buy a Raspberry Pi and use it as a printer server - click here
