In C\Winows\Application Data\Microsoft\Office \Recent folder, there is a list of links going back a couple of years.I assume that I can safely delete them, but I'd be grateful if someone would be good enough to confirm this. I can't understand why they should be there if they don't serve any purpose.
Copy them into a new folder and move elsewhere,if all runs well for a couple of months then just delete the folder.
This is the folder that holds the links to files opened by the user and shows inSelect ... 'Start' .... 'Documents'It is a 'shortcut' to re open these files and is not really necessary and just use disk space.You can clear ALL links in the 'recent' folder by selecting'Start''Settings''Taskbar & Start Menu''Start Menu Programs''Clear'
