can I delete $ntuninstallkb883xxxx_rtm$ files?

I am running low on disk space and have noticed that there are quite alot of folders in windows directory with the following $ntuninstallkb8841873_rtm$ folders. There are about 20 and these are taking quite alot of space. I think I have updated to windows service pack 2 as when you click on the folder a sub folder shows (spuninst) and something about windows service pack is almost in all of them. DLL and other files are in the sub folders (different files in each folder).

Are these safe to delete or will it cause problems for future use. e.g when window opens something, error message pops up, required DLL file, etc. You know the fussyness with windows.

please help asap, its doing my head in.....RUNNING OUT OF DISK SPACE, LOW DISK, ETC. HELP

You could try ccleaner click here

Not sure CCleaner would do the job,it would remove the uninstallers, but I suspect it wouldn't touch the backtrack archive files.
