Can I change drive letters safely?

I have a partitioned hard drive with 2 drive letters C: and K: Using Windows 7.
Can I change the drive letters safely even though I already have stuff installed on both partitions?

I assume you only want to change the K drive.

Unless you have actually installed programs onto the K drive there will not be a problem.

Yes there's a few programs already installed on the K: drive and the OS on C: drive.

The registry entries for the programs on K will not be able to reference those programs if you change the drive letter.

If there are not many then you could always reinstall.

Reinstalling is not an option. Looks like I'll have to keep the assignments then.
