Friend wants to xfer video from her camcorder (model unknown at this time )onto her laptop.I assume its an analogue cammy with output leads but what do I need at the laptop end. The only inputs are the usual ones plus usb,.Is there a pcmcia card that does the job .. ?? Thanks in anticipation ..
Thanks for the above links guys/gals. Both the above gadgets are like hens teeth... especially the PCMCIA card.. can only find it in USA at $300...Found out the camcorder is a JVC GRDVL 257e...as well as the phono type outputs,it has an s-video output as well . Knowing that,.. any other suggestions .. ideal would be s-video to USB lead...or some kinda pcmcia card .. thanks again in anticipation.
You can get external break out boxes that plug into a USB skt and which you can connect your camcorder to.Prices will depend to a certain extent which software it comes with. These, again dependent on model are suitable for analogue or digital input.
Dazzle ( now Pinnacle ) do a range for somewhere between £45 - £90.
