Hey, I'm planning to buy a new hard drive now but I'm worried if the connections will be all wrong.

This is my hard drive here, but I don't know anything about those cables and ports

And this is the hard drive I was planning to buy

So will that hard drive do, are the connections right?? If not, how am I suppose to find out what hard drive to get?

Thanks for your time, I appreciate that :)

Those cables and ports there are sata connectors what motherboard do you have because most mainboards either have Sata 1 or Sata 2 if the latter Sata 2 Ports you have.

But for the hard drive you plan to buy don't bother with the Hatchi's they are unreliable.

Get this drive.

Its much faster and much more reliable as it comes with a 5 Year Warranty.

That looks like a very nice hard drive there. And the cables looks the same as my cables. So it should so shouldn't it?

And I have checked my motherboard and the cable is connected to a Sata 1. So will it be all right then?

Thanks for your time

Make sure you keep the recipt when you buy one. I have had quite a few go down.

Samsung replaced one by return of post, Western Digital were not interested.

I don't know which HD are the best, but its a good idea to always keep back ups.
