Budget Gaming PC

  sid37 13:50 05 Feb 2008

Hi hope you can help me, I'm thinking of building a budget gaming pc, but not sure which parts would be best, I will have a budget of around £500-£600.
The computer will also be used for the internet, video editing and some photoshop work as well as gaming.

Many thanks

There was also a very good article in last months PCformat, a DX10 machine that could play Crysis - for ~£400 (without monitor)!

aspire x case £55
600 tagan psu £82
abit ip35e motherboard £60
2g corsair twin x ddr2 6400 £37
core 2 duo e6550 £109
256mb 8800gt £125
dvd drive £17
visa hp oem £60
psu and graphics card the most important for gaming. you could get a cheaper case and e4600 core 2 duo to reduce the price.

Thanks Citadel, that sounds good but not sure about cases, any particular aspire x case? Don't mind spending up to £80.

Could push the total budget to £600 without monitor.

Many thanks for you help.

forgot the hard drive, sata 2 £40 to 50 depending on size, all the items are at click here
cases are whatever you fancy, aspire was an example. one without psu as cases that come with psu,s usually have cheap noisy inefficient ones.
