BT Voyager 2100 - Network Present, no connection

  caynus 15:36 10 Dec 2005

I've just got the 2100 ADSL router and installed the 1040 Netwrok Adapter on my computer.

Originally it connected to the network, then within 5 minutes it could see the network but wouldn't connect. Then the network disappeared all together.

So I brought my computer to the router, plugged it in via ethernet cable. The wireless connection connected again! Then 5 minutes later the same thing happened, it disconnected. I haven't been able to connect to my wireless network since.

Anyone got any ideas what is going on? I would really appreciate any help.

P.S. It is a newly formatted hard drive and new windows if that helps.

Change the router to Broadcast it's SSID. If this fixes it then the problem is caused by another network in the area interfering. To fix it leave SSID broadcasting and make sure you have strong WPA security running.

Well, I have a laptop on the network to and that works fine.

How do I set up a strong WPA?

No, that doesn't work. It can see the network now, but when I click connect it doesn't do anything.
