BT Home Hub - New drive inserted cannot connect

  compumac 10:04 18 Jun 2010

I am on BT Broadband with several PC's connected and all functioning OK. On one of my PC's the hard disk has become somewhat cluttered and I decided to insert a new drive in its place and re-install XP afresh. The original Drive has been put to one side for the moment. XP was installed OK and I had hoped that the Internet connection would be made to the BT Home Hub automatically as the others have in the past, but in this case with the new drive installed it does not connect or see the other PC's on the network. Re-inserting the original drive - and there is a connection. I am sure that the answer is something simple. I am in one of those mentally fragile states today so any advice would be welcome.
