Broken Laptop Key

  Tinker Bell 20:22 15 Jun 2008

One of the letters has snapped of on my laptop keyboard, I took it into PC World to see if they could repair it, they said I need a new keyboard as the letter cannot be replaced due the bracket underneath breaking, they estimate £60.00 to replace a new keyboard and fit, seems quite high, anyone have any suggestions please?

This is the laptop click here

1. Define an F key 0r keys to serve the same purpose.
2. By a spare keyboard and plug it in to either ps2 or usb

Hadn't thought about that.

I would check with a local laptop repair specialist. HP keyboards are in general terms easy to replace as long as you can get hold of the replacement part. Check your local independant!

Ah, good thinking taff, I'll look in yellow pages tomorrow.
