That's you Ethernet LAN (Local Area Network) port.

10/100 refers to the speeds available in Mbits per sec.

Should have added that it uses an RJ45 Ethenet cable to connect to another PC or a router. Crossover cables are required if connecting directly to another PC, which makes an ad-hoc network.
