Hi,

While I am on, can anyone suggest a good broadband provider?

No equipment required just a good deal!

Regards

Colio

Hi,

I am currently working for AOL at the moment, well for the next 2 days lol, getting a better more paid job.

Just to warn you all don't touch AOL Broadband, its ball. If you want to network your house you have to use the Router they provide you cannot use your own.

Your better off with either: Tiscali, BT, PipeX or Demon Internet...

Cheers,

Metronet look like a good deal. They operate a partial pay-as-you-go system. 512k costs between £10 and £23.99 a month depending on how much data you download click here. At least one member of this forum uses Metronet and recommends their service.

Pipex ( click here) offer a no frills 512K service foe under £24 a month. Not had a single outage in 12 months and their support people are helpful, know what they are doing and dont connect you to premium rate number.
As a business ISP they have been around for a long time - so not a fly-by-night !!!
