I seem to get this problem only whilst doing searches with Ancestry.
All appears OK and then all of a sudden I get an error message advising that I am working off line, and if I then look down at the SpeedTouch Router I see that all the lights have gone out and then the router re-connects which can take about 30 seconds and all then appears to work fine until the next time it occurs again. I have experienced this problem over about 9 months, but only whilst using Ancestry.
It may be IE settings check them by Going to Control Panel\Internet options. It may be something to do with it thinking PC is idle, if you spend a lot of time on a page but not doing much other than read it
