broadband and lexmark printer[ with fax facility]

i have aol broadband and a lexmark printer which is not compatible using the broadband thats what i was e-mailed by lexmark co., and i thought maybe if i use my original modem in my laptop i may get connected because i want to use my printer for fax purposes but it wont work any ideas guys!

Hi, I have broadband (NTL) and a Lexmark Printer with the FAX facility and you must always use your ordinary modem and the standard telephone line with the Fax program.
Make sure your modem is set up properly and plugged in to the telephone socket.
It should work OK.

Incidentally, I got two CDs with my Lexmark.
CD No 1 is the printer driver and CD No 2 is for the fax program.
