I'm just out of range to get broadband at my home. Line too long they say. However, i am just out of range because people around the corner from me can get broadband. Could this mean that broadband could be installed but i would just get lower speeds? I would be happy with anything higher that dial up. Any body have the answer.

it's a question of signal to noise ratio. anything over the limit would be poor quality and you would probably lose data over the distance.

in the future things may improve with technology such as boosters in the street cabs.
