Boot XP from external hard drive?

  LFCcartesian 22:59 05 Feb 2009

I have an old Tiny PC with 2 hard drives one of which is less than 12 months old.

I have a laptop less than 12 months old.

I'm getting squeezed from the other half to ditch the desktop to free up space but I still use it although not very often and I do like XP.

Here's my question. If I take out the newer primary hard drive, put it in a HDD caddy and connect it to my laptop via a USB port, can I boot windows XP from the caddy to the laptop screen if I change the boot order of the laptop to boot from USB first?

Thanks guys for your replies.

Ben, that link is something I'll look into although I was hoping for a much simpler solution!!

Thanks again.
