Boot up problems

  mowthecat 08:26 24 Jan 2006

My Windows XP machine has started giving strange error messages on boot-up like below:
Error signature
BC Code 100000aa BCP1:Ff9A67E8 BCP2:822CDB40 BCP3:F894FCBC BCP4:00000001 OSVER:5_1_2600 SP:2_0 Product 768_1

After this it seems to boot up normally. The day before we had another error saying the "ATI controller panel failed to initialise because no ATI driver is installed"

Could these be linked?

Looks like a video driver problem. Get the latest drivers from ATI for your card then un-install the ATI video drivers you currently have then install the new drivers.

Boot the computer in safe mode using the F8 key and uninstall the ATI display drivers. Boot the computer to the normal mode, reinstall the card using updated drivers. This worked for me.
