Hi i have a windows xp professional laptop when starting up it gives me the choice of two boot options both called windows xp professional.
One boot loops and won't start up. One works perfectly.
How do i delete the faulty boot option and how can i tell which one is which to make sure i delete the correct one.

Start - run - type msconfig - press OK - boot.ini tab - click check boot paths.

This will delete the boot path to the faulty op system. and you should not get any message next time you boot.
