Boot Error

Please can anyone enlighten me re the following:

I have XP Home Edition. When booting up my computer , I got a boot error and I was asked to put in a Boot diskette into A Drive.

Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that there was already a floppy in A for a Monitor Driver.

Would this be the cause of the error message appearing ?

Also, I know 98 uses a floppy to boot up but does XP use a CD or a floppy and what should I be doing in preparation for needing help to boot up with XP?

Many thanks.

Yes. because you have your boot sequence probably set
to search A:/ drive first, because the floppy is NOT
bootable you get an error message, take floppy out and reboot...
