I cant boot to safe mode, get the same message.
Dont really want to go down the recovery route unless I have to.
I have 2 hard drives in this machine and I can boot OK from the other one,
dont know if this gives any other options.
I expect I can fix this from a back up or restore if needs be.
What puzzles me is what caused it in the first place, Why start Ok everyday and then suddenly blue screen. I noticed about
2weeks back that the time and date was always wrong ie 2001 or 2002.
easy to sort out but I had to do it every day.Relevent or not?
Few problems in the past until I let others use it.

yeah that sounds like a good idea to at least fix the clock. Had it been my alarm clock I would have done it the same day but being a computer it did not cross my mind. Easy to overlook the obvious sometimes.
