I'm running XP Home, and for some reason Windows has decided to download all images as bmp instead of the usual jpeg. Where's the setting to change this back?
Try emptying you Temporary Internet files from IE > Tools > Internet Options > Delete files button.
Where has windows downloaded bmp's from? Is it from a website? Which one?
You are using the "save as " option. This is a recognised bug when the IE cache gets bloated. Do as MAJ suggests and it should be OK.
It was several websites, not just one. Mainly wallpaper and stuff (nothing naughty!)I'll try deleting my temp files. Thanks guys.
