Reboot and press a key before Windows starts loading. click here for common keys to do this.

what computer have you got?

or better still what motherboard have you got

when you start the computer up it should say which key to enter the bios

it could be DEL

once you get into the bios you need to goto standard cmos features or something similar

you then need to set the ide channels to auto detect

make sure you don't dabble about with any other settings if you don't know what they are, i you feel you have made a mistake press esc and quit wihtout saving, and try again

if your happy with the change you can press f10 to save and exit

Then you use the keyboard (arrow keys, Enter etc.) to navigate the menus and make the changes you want. Do you have a motherboard manual - it should explain this better than I can.
