BIOS - Acer Aspire 7740G Portable

Press F2 to enter setup - but - there's hardly anything to set up! Boot menu, Passwords etc but nothing else.
I thought I may be able to tweak the 2.6G i5 but there seems to be no access to the usual CPU settings?
Is there a way to get into the "usual" settings?

By entering setup, I expected to find at least some clock speed/freqs/voltage settings etc?

Nobody again!!
If this is a dummo question can someone say so?
Has anyone OC'd an i5 in a lappy?

I have looked at the Acer website for the manual on your 7740g so that I could see what it says about the BIOS and its settings but apart from a general owner's guide I have found nothing. I presume that you have the manuals that came with this machine. Is there nothing in them that tells you what the default BIOS settings are and which of them can be changed?

Hi chub_tor. I have only basic guides myself - no manuals as such.
It has occurred to me that it has "factory" settings (which precludes the usual access) and perhaps if I set the Default settings I will see what I want. I am a bit reluctant to try that though as the original settings may then be lost.
You know the saying "if it ain't broke don't try to fix it" LOL.
Oh well, at least someone is reading my post :-)
Thanks for the reply.
