i just updated my bios on my A7V8X-X mobo and it all went smoothly but when it rebooted and windows loaded up and it asked me to press ctrl alt and del it just freezes as soon as i press a key i cannont use my mouse or keyboard but i can shut my pc down by pressing the off button which is set to shut the pc down wen pressed so it must be something to do with the keyboard and new bios. any help

Are you on XP?

i am on xp but i do not have the disk

Will it boot into safe-mode? Press F5 at startup till the menu appears.

i started it up in safemode and it does the same thing freezes when i press a key

also if i dissconnect my keyboard and then put it back in it will freeze as well

you may have to reset the bios, refer to the motherboard manual, or try troubleshooting on their website.

i reset the bios and it still does the same thing

Can you try another version of the bios udate file?

i think i solved it i found one of me old mice ad used that and it worked it must of not liked my wireless mouse. thanks for all your help

im gonna try another verson to see if it wil work with my wireless one
