Can anyone solve my prob,

I am using a ACER Travel Mate 2700 Laptop XP Pro. I am curently a student at university and I have been given the programme on CD to install when I try to install I get the message

16 bit windows subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application

When I choose to ignore this it follows that it can,t find the acme.exe, When I manualy try to open the file it says can only open fron original location.

Does this meen owt to anyone

I have the same problem on with my desktp, but since I have VB working fine on my laptop, I haven't gotten round to looking into the problem. This will hopefully save me the trouble of investigating it now. So big thanx to Geewis and VoG for that,
