Big issue with corrupted, downloaded ZIP files

  addyman 12:46 19 Dec 2016

I recently put together a new PC Build: Asus Z170-P motherboard, I5-6600K, 16GB (2 x 8GB) Corsair Vengeance RAM, Toshiba 240GB SSD, NVidia GTX 1060 and a clean install of Windows 10.

I'm trying to download a lot of mod files for Skyrim, Fallout etc. mainly from Nexus Mods. Virtually every compressed file (mainly .7z files but some .zip and .rar) I download is corrupt. It is taking me 5 or 6 downloads to get a good copy.

If I download other files (such as latest video drivers) they work fine. I'm on a 250Mbps fibre connection and can download at over 20MB/s so I don't think timeout is an issue.

I've run Memtest (no errors), I tried reseating my RAM - nothing seems to be working and I'm after ideas on what I can try next to troubleshoot because I'm confused and not getting anywhere with it!
