Best Windows PC around at the moment?

Hello, I am looking to buy a PC in the near future (only a Windows desktop/workstation please), and was wondering what the best component parts were (assuming that price is not an issue). Thanks!

Current list:

Processor -
Graphics card -
Physics card -
Sound card -
Motherboard -
Monitor -
Mouse -
Speakers -
Printer -
Scanner -

well for some of them.. if cost really is not an issue

processor- Intel Core 2 Duo QX6800 (QX6700 is much easier to get though)
Graphics card- Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX (two of them in SLI if you have the money)
Physics card- even if you had infinite money, it would be pointless, utter waste of money
soundcard- Creative X-Fi series, any will do really
motherboard- something based upon an Intel P35 chipset or Nvidia 680 (i think)

hope that helps.. most of the above are not cheap though!! You can get probably get most of the performance for half the price if you look around wisely. The absolute top stuff is often not proportionally worth the price in terms of peformance.

OK, so what is the Nvidia Quadro Plex? It's under their Workstations area - it's this massive base station-sized thing - is it not a graphics card at all, or not used as one? :S

I don't quite understand what it is.. but I know you don't need one unless you are doing professional stuff. The Nvidia Quadro series are for professional graphics programs, such as CAD- and even then support is quite specialised. The Geforce series are better fro home users and are better at running games. Geforces are optimised for games, and Quadros for specif professional functions. Hope that helps

On closer inspection it appears to be an external graphics card housing. Presumably to meet the cooling requirements of two professional cards, or ease of use of something similar. I still don't believe you could possibly need it though.
