Best Microphone for Skype

  paddyjack 21:16 29 Jan 2005

Just starting using Skype (very good it is too), at the moment I am using a head set with mike. People on the other end tell me that there is an echo.

I would like to know if there is a way to eliminate this echo.

It’s not a major problem but it would be nice to know if there is an answer.

Look in ebay and type Skype Phones in the search box. Bought one - good

It may not be your mic .I use skype and find that sometimes I will get an echo you could try it with another application to see such as msn messenger

I bought I mike for about £2. I've been told that it sounds like I'm in the same room. You don't need anything special at all

I went for a Plantronics 'skype' head set, works fine BUT , as it is plugged into the standard mic/ audio jack plugs, the 'phones' are flawed!

The jacks are to the rear of my computer, and therefore its skype or audio to the monitor not both. If I was going to but another set , it would be a 'USB' set. Then I could easily plug into the front panel. ( hope this makes sense )
