Best FREE AV & Firewall for Vista

  MrCutter 17:41 23 May 2008

The free 60 days has expired on my version of Norton Security on my Vista Laptop.
Norton want lots of Money££ to renew.

What would be the best free anti-virus & firewall to put on it.
And to be easy to use & is not rocket science.

Cheers in advance for any help.

Avast or Avg both free.I understand that Vista Firewall is Ok.

I don't use Vista but I believe that Vista's own firewall is a great improvement over the old XP one. For anti-virus, I would say AVG8 Free click here

I think that you will find that although Vistas firewall works both ways incoming and outgoing you cannot set any new rules for the outgoing so whats the point in having it,

When it detects a new outgoing it just allows it,
