Belkin router won't work on wireless

  Pete Cotton 20:37 20 Dec 2008

I have a Belkin router F5D7230-4 and PCs running XP / XP pro. It connects fine with ethernet cables but will not see the wireless. The wireless card in the PC finds other wireless routers but not my router.
I've reset the factory settings and refreshed the software, no change. The wireless is shown as being enabled on the Belkin panel.

When enabling "wireless" in a router, there is usually the option to select "B", "G" or "B&G", try both the "G" and the "B&G" settings (B being 802.11b and G being 802.11g).

Also ensure that the router is set to broadcast its SSID.

Did you sort out your problem Pete?

I have the same problem but with an N1 Vision Modem/Router.

Belkin are yet to be able to sort it out. I am broadcasting ALL 802.11 formats but the router still does not show up in my laptops available networks.

Everything else works, the net and wired computers but no wireless is showing up. I hate it when Christmas presents don't work.
